The Suez Canal Authorities (SCA) temporarely cease the 2nd southbound convoy

With immediate effect, the SCA has decided to offer one convoy southbound only in stead of two.

The Suez Canal Authority has announced that the 2nd Southbound convoy has been cancelled starting from today until further notice. Only 1st Southbound convoy will be in operations.

Due to dredging operation at the Great Bitter lake, below decided to be effected as from 08.05.2014 till further notice:
- No vessels to join the Southbound second convoy temporarily till dredging operations being finished and will notify you in due time.

Arrival limit for the southbound convoy and extension options are as follows:
Arrival limit is 1900 hrs at Port Said (south of latitude 31 28.7 N).
Against 3 pct on canal tolls you can extend the arrival limit to 2100 hrs
Against 5 pct on canal tolls you can extend the arrival limit to 2200 hrs
Against 10 pct on canal tolls you can extend the arrival up to the convoy begins (0100-0500hrs), subject to SCA approval.
