Reduced Slot Availability at Gatun Locks:
June 9–17 Beginning at 0001 hours on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, until 2359 hours on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, dry chamber maintenance will be performed on the East Lane of Gatun Locks. The West Lane will remain operational, but lockage will take additional time.
During the maintenance period, the total number of available slots in the Panamax Locks will be reduced from 26 to 16.
Supers will have a total of 13 slots available. No slots will be offered in Period 3, and no more than 7 may be booked per direction, of which no more than 2 with daylight restrictions per direction.
Regular vessels will have a total of 3 slots available, with no slots offered in Period 2 or Period 3. No more than 2 regular vessels may be booked per direction.
Vessels that have already secured a booking for the maintenance period will not be affected by the slot reductions.
Full slot availability will be reinstated from June 18, 2026.
