As with immediate effect all vessels must be announced no later than 96 hours prior to arrival at either Port Said or Suez
Due to the ongoing dredging project in the Suez Canal the Suez Canal Authorities (SCA) must be notified about any vessel's arrival no later than 96 hours prior to the ETA. If announced later than that SCA will not guarantee a slot in the convoy. Furthermore, another pre-arrival notification must be submitted again 48 hours prior to the vessel's ETA.
Also, the expansion project SCA has led to a change of the commencing of the convoys. The purpose of these amendments is to have only one convoy moving in the canal, i.e. either the northbound or the southbound convoy, allowing the project continuing with as few interruptions as possible. SCA will announce the prospects / timings during the afternoon/late PM on the day before the convoys begins.
